Accounting Manager - CoE Accounting Team

Purpose of the role
The Accounting Manager will be a member of the CoE Accounting and PCA team.

He/she will be accountable for the US GAAP Financial Statements of all the Legal Entities in the countries in his/her sub-region, and for local GAAP financial statements if centered in Asturias Center of Excellence.

The Senior Accountants, Accountants and Plant Cost Analysts in the CoE Accounting and PCA Team will report to him/her.


He/she will have a direct connect with all the CoE teams, other Centers, and Commercial Finance in order to ensure full-Service Center ownership of all tasks centered.

He/she will act as liaison between the Centers, the Country Controllers and the Business.


With a sound understanding of the Corteva business, he/she will work in close collaboration with the local Controllership organizations and Commercial Finance to guarantee accurate reporting and an effective control environment.


Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure full understanding, completeness and accuracy of entity reporting:
  • Full ownership of end-to-end record-to-report process from a US GAAP perspective
  • Preparation of Local GAAP Financial Statements as applicable
  • Participate/run regional accounting and reporting initiatives
  • Preparation of any reporting for Direct Tax purposes including Income Tax submission as applicable
  • Support and guidance to other Center and noncentered teams including issue resolution to ensure full US GAAP ownership
  • Primary Center contact for all centered Accounting and Reporting matters
  • Ongoing monitoring of Account Reconciliations in compliance with the Global Account Reconciliation Policy
  • Participation in any related audit in collaboration with local Controllership organizations
  • Support to projects with implications for the related entities as needed
  • Support to execution and maintenance of effective Internal Controls
  • Contribute to team productivity: introduce process efficiencies, maintaining high service level.
  • People oriented: ability to develop people skills.

  • Broad Accounting knowledge (US GAAP, Other Local GAAPs)
  • Knowledge of endtoend processes and how they feed into entity and business financial statements
  • Overall understanding of accounting and reporting systems and related interdependencies
  • Multitasks, ability to navigate between different complex matters to quickly identify investigation and resolution paths

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 7 years of finance experience including relevant accounting experience
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and/or Local GAAP
  • Business proficiency in English is a must
