  • SOFTWARE COMPLIANCE ENGINEER (Valencia, Spain)
  • Are you a software engineer willing to improve people's lives? The Digital Healthcare division at Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) is looking for a Software Compliance Engineer to join our Medical Products Group. We're looking for an analytical, detailoriented teammate in Valencia, Spain. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the delivered solutions are compliant with the Open-Source Software (OSS) licenses and secure from a vulnerability point when including third party libraries. You will collaborate with software and security engineers through the complete product life cycle of medical products, from conception to deployment and maintenance.

  • Essential Responsibilities:
  • Main task: Open-Source Auditing
  • Ensuring legal compliance with all OSS licenses, including reviewing / approving requests for opensource components.
  • Reviewing the vulnerabilities from the security scan tools, review and manage the lifecycle towards closure.
  • Generating Software Bill of Material
  • Integrate the report generation into CD/CI tools to generate automatically the licenses and vulnerability reports.
  • Be the liaison between the engineering team, and the legal team to ensure compliance of software and firmware through the complete product life cycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the code modification to avoid software vulnerabilities.
  • Follow medical device software development processes, adhering to industry and regulatory standards.
  • Expected Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of Open-Source licenses, their obligations, and implications.
  • Experience working with Legal support to interpret software license agreements.
  • Direct experience with SCM tools, such as GIT, SVN, Clearcase, Perforce, etc.
  • Practical experience with defect tracking tools, such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with continuous integration processes such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Prior development experience in medical device firmware.
  • Knowledge of medical device standards, including IEC62304 and IEC1497
  • Legal training/copyright law training would be advantageous
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience working with distributed engineering and operations teams
