The purpose of this position is to perform and provide counsel on expert emergency, maintenance, testing, and start-up technical support across any type of electrical or mechanical equipment, systems and subsystems from simple to moderately complex in nature.

Performs or provides counsel on diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems (both hardware and software.


Technical and Job related Responsibilities

  • Service and maintenance of Honeywell and third party equipment (as per trade expertise).
  • Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance; including diagnoses and repairs faults in aircondition and mechanical equipment.
  • Supervision of field installation, cabling in SLJs.
  • Determine equipment and accessory needs for implementation and inform FSL or FSS in time.
  • Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as per agreed rosters and as directed.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

  • Minimum Associates degree or technical trade school diploma.
  • Previous work experience servicing HVAC, Fire, Security or access entry and alarm systems.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • Programming skills.
  • Honeywell product knowledge.
  • Knowledge and skills (general and technical).
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with customers.
  • Ability to acquire and demonstrate trade skills and/or product knowledge to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and direct contractors or other service technicians.
  • Good communication both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe working environment.
