About the role...
As a Backend Engineer, you'll participate in designing and executing backend services, which are instrumental to sennder's growth.

You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced Engineers and Product Managers in the design of our product starting from scratch.


You'll be part of the Shipments Opportunities Team, responsible for creating a new platform that allows sennder to bid for shipments.

This team will have a great impact on automating our operations. You will have the autonomy to own the technical solution from requirements to delivery. Our DevOps culture means that you own the entire infrastructure (end-to-end), supported by our dedicated platform team.

Our current stack includes Typescript, AWS serverless architecture (Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, etc), Kafka, Terraform, and GitLab.


In this role you will...

  • Develop a robust microservice architecture.
  • Actively support in architecture's design.
  • Lead midsize projects from endtoend.
  • Help to improve engineering standards and processes.
  • Drive quality across the stack, following solid principles while providing detailed feedback to our colleagues.
  • Ensure effective communication with other pods and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the product manager to plan shippable features for launch.

Preferably you have...

  • Solid TypeScript knowledge
  • Practical experience with microservice architecture
  • You know how to build modern RESTAPIs, fully documented by OpenAPI/Swagger
  • You can talk to databases
  • Solid experience in testing, and modern CI/CD
  • Good communication skills in English.
