Mission

General

• This is a great opportunity for growth, the person will be responsible for the engineering department of Aptar Torelló, leading the management for the optimization of all equipment and maximizing the automation of all elements. You will lead the department with the ability to influence and motivate the team.

Detail

• He/she will work closely with the Site manager to challenge the status quo and create the desire to change to increase the performance.

4 main scopes have been identified:
-
Culture & Training
- deploy Technical standard methods, technics, tools and rules
- develop the Aptar culture at each level of the plant

• Cooperate with other Aptar technical departments,

-
Shop floor (Gemba)

• Provide at the best cost and optimize in time the new equipment and automation for the operation of peripherals, material handling, warehouse, packaging, ensuring that the activities of the organization are consistent with the objectives.
• Ensure the improvements and efficiency of all equipment through maintenance (preventive and extraordinary) of molds, machines, automations and reengineering of processes and technical instruments, if applicable Optimize waste elimination on manufacturing shop floor and others plant's departments.
• Review the requirements related to the product ensuring that they are defined (ideally perfumery)
• To guarantee the responsibility, motivation, control and professional development of its collaborators.

Benchmark

• Participate with RTC in support of exchange of experiences for the new product and transversal activities.
• Analyze benchmarks and best practices
• Define and achieve budget goals according to CAPEX

Reporting
- validate with team members and site controller Technical saving and all Technical initiatives opportunities
- challenge and define the department saving budget

• Could coordinate for the plant all the productivity and cost reduction plan

Scope

He will drive continuous optimize of:

• Quality (automatic quality controls)
• Productivity (efficiency, capacity, costs, service)

Education

• BS degree Technical Engineering Management or equivalent experience
• Training in Green and/or Black Belt Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

Skills / Abilities

• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Effective problem solving and process analysis skills, knowledge of CREO program.
• Must be detail oriented, quality conscious, with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to motivate team and lead improvement within the organization
