    As the Head of UX at (part of Adevinta group) you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products by leading and developing a team of designers and researchers. You will be responsible for championing user-centered design principles, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring that our product teams are equipped to deliver outstanding experiences from a user perspective.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers and researchers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow both personally and professionally.
  • Ensure consistency and efficiency in design and research methodologies and processes to maintain high-quality results by leading Research Ops and Design Ops.
  • User-Centered Design Advocacy:
  • Champion the importance of user-centered design throughout the organization, influencing product strategy and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and strategy leads (Cluster Leads) to ensure that user needs and insights are integrated into product development cycles.
  • Design excellence and continuous improvement:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design and research.
  • Develop and drive the strategic vision for UX within the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain UX standards, guidelines, and best practices collaborating with head of UX from other Adevinta's marketplaces.
  • Foster a research-driven and data-driven culture to gather insights and identify new opportunities that align with our business goals.
  • Conduct regular usability testing, user research, and data analysis to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive product quality by promoting design excellence and continuous usability testing.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, preferably in a UX design or research role.
  • Critical and strategic thinking abilities focus on developing and executing a long-term roadmap that supports the company's business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and processes.
  • Valuable experience woking with and implementing design systems
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in agile or lean product development environments.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English. Day-to-day operations and team management (most of the time) are in Spanish and interactions with wider Adevinta group are in English.
