IESE Sustainable Leadership Initiative

Who you are:

You're excited about sustainability and are motivated to play a critical role in the IESE Sustainable Leadership Initiative (SLI).

You are enthusiastic about leading the development of current research efforts, supporting the development of new knowledge initiatives and coordinating current sustainability-related activities.

You have familiarity with academic research and can translate insights from research for practitioners. You have experience in engaging with different types of stakeholders and have strong project and event management skills. You are comfortable executing multiple projects, activities and events throughout the year.


You pay attention to details, allowing you to effectively support the Initiative's administration, including managing the Initiative's finances, impact reporting, fundraising and stewardship, and other activities as needed.


What you'll do:


  • Work closely with the Academic Director and IESE researchers to translate and disseminate sustainabilityrelated studies in practitioneroriented channels.
  • Work closely with the Academic Director to develop overall project plans and strategies to support the coordination and delivery of existing student initiatives (e.g. Social Impact Club) and development of new initiatives.
  • Lead assigned projects including the scoping, building and managing of timelines, liaising with project collaborators and other stakeholders, and producing and/or reviewing deliverables.
  • Support the development and management of Alumniled activities when they involve sustainability topics (e.g. IESE Alumni Sustainability Chapter).
  • Plan and execute the SLI's public activities, such as speaking events, coordinating all logistics, supplies and contracts in accordance with projected budget.
  • Develop and refine the SLI's communication strategies in consultation with the Academic Director and IESE's communication department, including creating or overseeing communication material and digital marketing strategy to create and maintain engaged audiences.
  • Manage the daytoday responsibilities of the SLI finances (e.g. budget reconciliation, creating expense reports, paying invoices, etc.), develop, and maintain financial reports to support effective management and planning of activities.
  • Other administrative support as required.

_Required Education and Experience:
_


  • A university degree in business, economics, sociology, engineering or a related field (required)
  • Experience in project management involving corporate clients (required)
  • Master's degree or coursework in sustainability or related fields (asset)
  • 56 years' experience in a sustainabilityrelated field (asset)
  • Experience in a coordination or management role in universitybased research initiatives (asset)

_Skills and Abilities:
_


  • Interest or expertise in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, ESG investing or social impact
  • Resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fastpaced environment, using good judgment in assessing difficult situations
  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the SLI's events and activities
  • High degree of professionalism and diplomacy with outstanding ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal and external clients at all levels of management
  • Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes (familiarity with largescale events is an asset).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in using library research database systems
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Experience maintaining and updating website content, with an aptitude to learn new software/programs quickly
