Aquila Group's company responsible for the development and construction of the Solar PV and Wind portfolio in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece. The company develops currently more than 50 projects with over 2.6 GW of renewable power in the Iberian market (Spain and Portugal) and 30 more projects (around 1.5 GB) in Italy and Greece. Senior Financial Controller

Your responsibilities

  • Reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements and being responsible for accurate and timely submissions of monthlybasis financial reports and treasury control reports.
  • Design and implementation of analytical accounting: working with coding trees and budgeting items.
  • Responsible for Companies' Annual Accounts and responsible of the Audit Report.
  • Coordination of external providers (e.g. accountants, auditors, lawyers, banks).
  • Creation and development of internal financial controls, evaluating their robustness, reasonableness and implementation.
  • Responsible for all the mandatory requirements of the company.

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Finance or Economics.

Professional experience of 6-8 years in a similar position within Finance of which, ideally, 3/4 years of professional experience in the field of auditing at an accounting firm (Big Four).


  • Knowledge of HGB (German GAAP); knowledge of IFRS and experience in Renewables will be valuable.
  • Knowledge of taxation topics and regulations is relevant and experience in Renewables will be valuable.
  • Strong analytical skills and a very good understanding of numbers.
  • Precise and reliable working method coupled with high autonomy, committed person, implementation strength and flexibility.
  • Being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.
  • Fluency in German and English, Spanish will be highly valuable. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
