For our office in
Madrid we are looking for a driven and result-oriented finance professional, who will be responsible for the controlling reporting of a portfolio of renewable assets.

You will report to the Controlling Manager in the Controlling department and you will be working closely with the colleagues from the Accounting department as well as from the business related department (Development, Construction & Operation) to analyze the deviations of the projects during its life.

For our office in Madrid we are looking for a Controlling Analyst:

Your responsibilities

  • Review and prepare the monthly reporting for the renewable projects including profit and loss statement, cashflow, balance sheet and financial KPI's.
  • Creation and understanding of the Financial Model.
  • Keep close track and comprehension of the Financial Model for the renewable assets, providing feedback on the deviations with regards to closing figures.
  • Coordination with the different departments (Asset Management, Operations, Investment Management, etc.) to explain the deviations from the business.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the Profit and Loss account between actual figures and budget coding tree in the controlling tool for renewable projects.
  • Identify unusual trends and entries within the analytical accounting, then plan actions and execute solutions.
  • Ensure correct maintenance of the Group's IT controlling system (Filemaker + Power BI) that supports the analytical information

Your qualifications

  • Higher Degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar.
  • Experience with financial models.
  • Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, statutory audit, reporting or planning.
  • 45 years of experience in financial controlling and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • High capacity to adapt to changes and new processes taking ownership on them with a proactive approach.
  • Being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish. Strong verbal and written communication skills required in both languages.
