    Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor at Ferrovial

    Description

    Mission:

    You will play a key role in shaping the strategy and tactics for carrying out audits and advisory projects in Ferrovial's global operations, collaborating closely with the audit team and managers. Your responsibilities will involve evaluating operational, financial, and management factors, and providing recommendations to enhance business processes and internal controls to mitigate risks.

    How You Will Contribute

    • Identify and assess risks and controls across various Ferrovial businesses and corporate divisions.
    • Support the Project Lead in project planning, suggesting ideas, and contributing to setting realistic deadlines.
    • Develop and implement audit programs, analyze findings, prepare conclusion memos, and make recommendations for process enhancements and risk mitigation.
    • Review internal data like business plans and budgets regularly to ensure compliance with established standards and policies.
    • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls for assigned audit areas to support SOX compliance.
    • Present audit reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Audit Committee, outlining identified risks, process weaknesses, and recommendations for strengthening internal controls.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with staff and management to identify deficiencies and collaboratively devise solutions while upholding independence.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by contributing to internal audit methodology enhancements and digitalization initiatives.
    • Collaborate with peers to share best practices, fostering a high-performing Internal Audit team, and focus on personal development.

    What You Will Bring

    • Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
    • Over 5 years of experience in internal/external Audit, internal control, or financial planning and analysis, preferably including experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
    • Proficiency in English (C1) and Spanish, both written and spoken.
    • Expertise in internal controls and audit practices, including risk/control frameworks and financial policies (IFRS/US GAAP and SOX/SCIIF).
    • Business acumen with a solid understanding of practices in sectors like infrastructure, construction, energy, or airports.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to lead meetings and interact with individuals at all organizational levels tactfully.
    • Demonstrated integrity, critical thinking, multitasking abilities, and a team player mindset.
    • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
