The Network Engineer (MPN) portfolio is a newly established business area that aims to meet the Operation Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) digitisation needs of new and evolving business with mission critical set up across key verticals such as manufacturing, utilities, Oil & Gas with a need to supporting their strategy to Industry 4.0 and SCM 4.0.

This is an exciting and growth area for Vodafone Group and this business area is targeting new addressable revenue with double-digit growth year-on-year.

The
Network Engineer provides expert knowledge to monitor, operate and manage efficient and effective networks fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy.

The Network Operations Authority focusses on monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers.

Typically reports to Senior Network Operations Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Assists, advises and executes network operations (project initiations, system requirements, incident management and cost base management.
Drives the delivery of the roadmap to ensure the availability, performance and scalability of the network systems and to support the achievement of the Network Operations strategy.
Works effectively with colleagues across the delivery of preventive maintenance and acceptance tests.
Supports the process of ensuring customer SLA delivery, service vvailability, quality and continuity assurance.
Assists with consolidation of Service Assurance function for IT and Networks, (incidents, problem and change management) for both fixed and mobile.

What you bring:

Work experience in

Telecom Core Packet Switch:
GGSN, PGW, SGSN, MME, DNS.

Work experience in

Networks: Router/Switch/Firewall Fortinet.

Good knowledge of Telecom Networks (both PS and CS): LTE, NB-IOT.
Expert handson experience in working on Fortinet, Athonet.
Experience using virtualization systems (VMWare, etc.)
Experience in solving advanced problems, detailed analysis and implementation of solutions.
