Junior Environmental Technician (M/F/d) - Madrid:

BayWa r.e. Projects España S.L.U. - a wholly-owned subsidiary of BayWa r.e.

AG - is responsible for the development, structuring and execution of utility-scale wind and solar energy projects in Spain & Portugal.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Spain and are currently looking for a

Junior Environmental Technician (M/F/d) - Madrid.

What You Will Do:

Analysis of environmental restrictions, territorial and urban factors for the evaluation of the environmental viability of projects, from their approach phase with GIS tools applied to renewable energy projects.
Support the creation of GIS layers repository.
Analysis of applicable Environmental legislation related to renewable projects (state and regional).
Analysis of environmental conditions during the permitting obtention process.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring:

Recently graduated from a Bachelor ́s Degree in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering.
Required to be enrolled in a Master ́s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to establish a training contract.
Advanced knowledge of Office, QGIS, ArcGIS and Environmental regional databases.
Management of geodatabases, geoprocessing, cartography production and OGC services.
Knowledge in environmental assessment of renewable projects (mainly photovoltaic or wind) will be valued.
Proficient communication in Spanish and fluent professional English skills.
Great interest in renewable energy sector.
Committed and proactive person with the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fluid and goaloriented environment.
Cooperative and a supportive team player.
