    About this opportunity

    Align is expanding its team in Madrid, Spain. This energetic and highly technical team is responsible for creating the next generation of our operational platform infrastructure to expedite the development and delivery of software in the digital medical device space. We work closely with engineering teams to become highly efficient and autonomous by providing automated solutions wherever practical. This is a great opportunity to combine the latest tools and technologies with cutting-edge approaches to build the best development platform in the industry.

    We are looking for a candidate for the Operations Services team. We are an integrational team. Our responsibilities include the development of API Services on Java Spring. The services provide access to backend systems in Amazon Cloud. Backend systems include ML models and file processing components on C++ etc. The team consists of Java developers, DevOps and SQA.

    This individual contributor role will need to keep up to date with all modern technologies in the field of cloud infrastructureoperations and release engineering (often referred to as "devops"). That skill set will be applied across the following activities:

    • Collaborate with development teams on implementing deployment and packaging automation for their apps using Docker,CloudFormation, Terraform, kubernetes, or other appropriate technologies
    • Participate in strategic projects to improve Align's approach to cloud-based infrastructure and application deployment
    • Develop solutions to automate repetitive tasks, monitor system health, create and update real-time inventories and reports, and improve existing processes
    • Participate in shaping and improving SDLC processes and document them in Standard Operating Procedures

    In this role, you'll need ...

    • Proficiency in speaking and writingEnglish
    • Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years working in a cloud (AWS preferred)
    • 5+ years working on systems admin level with Linux and/or Windows
    • Experience with any ofdockerorchestration tools (K8S, Docker Swarm, Rancher)
    • Experience working with configuration and/or infrastructure management frameworks (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
    • Familiarity with modern container technologies
    • Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining distributed systems and/or client-server applications
    • Strong skills in one or more of the following programming languages: Python
    • Ability to learn quickly
