What You Will Do Model Design and Development: Creating and refining wind tunnel models based on aerodynamicists' specifications and design requirements, using CATIA V6 and engineering principles
Collaboration and Iteration:
Working closely with aerodynamicists and design engineers to translate concepts into physical models, incorporating feedback and iterating designs as needed
Model Fabrication Oversight:
Collaborating with technicians and external vendors to ensure accurate fabrication of models, overseeing the manufacturing process, and ensuring compliance with design specifications
Testing Preparation:
Preparing models for wind tunnel testing, ensuring they meet testing criteria, and addressing any adjustments required for accurate data collection
Testing Support:
Assisting in wind tunnel testing procedures, monitoring model performance, and making real-time adjustments as needed during testing sessions
Cross-functional Communication:
Collaborating with various teams, including aerodynamics, design, and manufacturing, to align on model requirements and ensure seamless integration into the overall vehicle development process
Continuous Learning and Development:
Keeping abreast of industry advancements, new technologies, and emerging trends in aerodynamics and model design, continuously improving skills and techniques.
What You Need To Succeed Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent R&D design experienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a design role (advantage if it focusing on aerodynamics)
