The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education.

ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level.


Research is organized in five programs:

Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health.

ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

    What We Are Looking for:

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree (equal to 4 years of college) or equivalent
  • Excellent command of English, Spanish and Catalan is required
  • Excellent computer skills. Experience working with project management tool
  • Experience in working on a large multifaceted project.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:


  • Strong organizational skills to cope with multitasking daily work, used to work in a goaloriented approach
  • Stress tolerance and a strong team play with the ability to work independently without supervision
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills, ability to handle troublesome situations and think ahead with a decisive attitude
  • Good people management skills and strong communicator with the ability to set clear performanceoriented objectives and to use persuasive strategies
  • Ability to lead and to encourage a team, to anticipate, and to refocus if necessary
  • Objective, upright and diplomatic approach towards internal and external partners, with the ability to negotiate fair agreements
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations focusing on the needs, goals and priorities of the organization

SPECIFIC DUTIES:


  • Conduct research
  • Conduct stakeholder consultation
  • Write policy briefs
  • Conduct dissemination
  • Assist in communication.

AUXILIAR TASK:


This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post-holder.

LANGUAGE LEVEL:


  • English, Spanish and Catalan written and spoken

CONDITIONS:


  • Duration: 1 year (extendable)
  • Starting date: Immediately
  • Contract: Fulltime (40h/week)

SELECTION PROCESS:


The selection process is designed in two phases:1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

To assess the person's skills and CV.

  • Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
