- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Assess the adequacy and feasibility of the business proposals received from the brokers.
- Make well-informed underwriting decisions based on risk assessments and financial analyses.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants by examining financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Communicate with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
- Inform clients on the underwriting process, requirements, and any necessary adjustments to secure bond approval.
- Keep accurate records of underwriting decisions and supporting documentation.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the underwriting procedures.
- Identify new business opportunities and stay informed about market trends.
- Generate reports on underwriting activities, trends, and portfolio performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by his manager.
