    As a Software Engineering Lead for Baxter Planning, you will head our dynamic scrum team of developers. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive full-stack development expertise to lead and mentor a team of developers, driving the creation and deployment of innovative software solutions. Your role will be critical in implementing our cloud-based solutions to deliver scalable and efficient applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a scrum team of developers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, agile environment.
    • Architect and develop robust software solutions leveraging AWS services, including Lambda and RDS, along with Angular, , Python, and PostgreSQL.
    • Champion the integration of data lake technologies to advance data management and analytics capabilities.
    • Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices in agile methodologies and DevOps.
    • Ensure high standards of software quality, security, and performance are maintained.
    • Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to align development with business goals and customer requirements.
    • Guide the team in implementing effective coding, testing, and software maintenance practices.
    • Manage scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Lead strategic planning for software projects, including resource allocation and schedule management.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly in AWS and data lake ecosystems, generative AI to enhance software development processes.

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in JavaScript/Angular, , Python, and PostgreSQL.
    • Extensive experience with AWS services, especially Lambda functions and RDS.
    • Demonstrated leadership in a scrum/agile development environment.
    • Strong grasp of software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
    • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in software development.
    • Knowledge of data lake technologies is highly advantageous.
    • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
    • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Apply your familiarity with incorporating Generative AI into daily development tasks, using these advanced technologies to enhance both the efficiency and the innovation of software solutions.
    • Expertise in CI/CD tools and methodologies.
    • Solid understanding of branching strategies and release management.
    • Expertise in front-end frameworks/libraries like Angular, React or Vue.
    • Familiarity with Redis and message queue systems.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivered software projects.
