    We are looking for a Backend Chapter Lead to join Agile Content

    Location: Remote within Spain. This role requires to be currently residing anywhere in Spain with a valid working permit.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of backend engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive excellence in backend development.
    • Architect, design, and implement backend systems and services using event-driven architecture principles to ensure scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and design for backend solutions that meet business objectives.
    • Drive the adoption of event-driven architecture best practices and patterns across the organization, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in event-driven architecture and related domains, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
    • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that deliver value to our customers.
    • Coordinate and prioritize backend development tasks, ensuring timely delivery of features and projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality assurance and enable continuous delivery of backend services and applications.
    • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding standards and best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
    • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional growth within the backend engineering team.

    What you ́ll bring to the role:

    +10 years experience in backend development, with a strong focus on event-driven architecture, clean architecture and distributed systems.

    Deep understanding of event-driven architecture principles, patterns, and best practices, with hands-on experience designing and implementing event-driven systems.

    Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve their full potential.

    • Expertise in one or more programming languages commonly used in backend development, such as Java, C#, or
    • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, to ensure quality assurance and enable continuous delivery.
    • Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.

    Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

    • Passion for technology and a commitment to staying at the forefront of backend development trends and advancements.
    • Fully proficient in English & Spanish

    It would be great if you also have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience with DRM (Digital Rights Management), CDN (Content Delivery Network), and video technologies is desirable.
