At CHEP we recognize that our business and our people are key part of the communities in which we operate. With a focus on engaging with the community in the areas of the environment, sustainability and education we actively encourage colleagues to volunteer up to three days of paid volunteer leave each year.

Working with charities and other voluntary organizations the range of activities our people get involved with is diverse. But there is a common theme – and that is one of fun and community spirit! Here is just a snapshot of some of the charities that have benefited from the activities our people:

Tour de Fresh:

Tour de Fresh, is the first-of-its-kind, collaborative event that unites the most significant brands and influencers in the fresh produce industry for a three-day cycling event that raises funds to benefit the national Salad Bars to Schools initiative. The Salad Bars to Schools initiative has helped provide salad bars to over 5,000 schools benefitting 3 million children as a strategy for increasing children’s access to fresh fruits and vegetables every day at school.
