Physiotherapist

Neurological Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Unit
We provide comprehensive and intensive care to patients with stroke, head injury or acquired brain injuries working in a

multidisciplinary team:
physiatrist, physiotherapist, occupational therapy, speech therapist and neuropsychologist. Our
aim is to ensure the continuity of care for the patient with acquired brain injury during the different stages of the
rehabilitation process including novel tecnologies

The Neurological Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Unit (Neurorehabilitation Knowledge Area) has participated together with
the Neurovascular Research Laboratory (VHIR), in three research projects funded by the Carlos III Health Institute, aimed
at finding biomarkers to monitor and predict the recovery of stroke patients after intensive rehabilitation programs (PRI).
The aim of this research is to be able to find neuro-repair markers that allow us to individualize rehabilitation therapies
and move towards personalized neurorehabilitation medicine.

Education and qualifications:


Required:
-

Degree in Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy.

  • Specific/Additional training in Neurorehabilitation, validation of novel technologies, virtual reality and/or
telerehabilitation tools.

  • Fluency in English (business level)

Desired:
-

Specific/Additional training in Neurorehabilitation Team work.

  • Fluency in Catalan, Spanish.

Experience and knowledge:


Required:

Experience working in Rehabilitation multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of Statistics,

Microsoft Office Software:
Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other database programs.


Desired:

Knowledge of Software SPSS.

  • Focused on teamwork.

Main responsibilities and duties:
-

Participate in an international clinical study to validate an ecosystem based (NEST) on Virtual and augmented
reality for the sustained rehabilitation of post-stroke patients at home: training, treatment and follow up.

  • Collaborate with the Neurorehabilitation team: defining the protocols for telerehabilitation for adults with
adquired brain injuries, - participate in other research projects of the Neurorehabilitation Area of Knowledge
relating to Spasticity and other post-stroke impairments, - the BASFIR study : collecting and registering data for
a multicenter study for the rehabilitation of stroke patients, - validate a virtual reality platform for balance training
after stroke and/or other adquired brain injuries (PHASE study).

  • Prepare/Organize documentation for the International project NEST (Neurorehabilitation Ecosystem for
Sustained Therapy)


Labour conditions:

Full-time position: 40h/week


  • Starting date: 1/04/24
  • Gross annual salary: 22.000€
  • Contract: _Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities,until December 2024. _
