To reach our ambition of improving the lives of millions of people, we are expanding our Clinical Operations Team-
The Position

  • You will lead an outstanding team of CRAs, CTAs and Trial Managers located across Spain and Portugal, ensuring an excellent execution of our clinical trials and a strong alignment with relevant local and international departments. Being part of the Clinical Development Center (CDC) Leadership team, you will play a key role in the definition of the clinical development strategy for the CDC countries. Moreover, you will be directly responsible for managing team of 56 people, providing them with the agile leadership style, closely collaborating to ensure the growth and autonomy of the direct reposts.
  • Among your responsibilities:
  • As a Line Manager, you will empower the team to be accountable, autonomous, self-organized and agile. You will guide their professional journey assuring team satisfaction, motivation, development, and healthy work-life balance. To achieve this goal, you will be involved in training, development plans, recruiting, onboarding, performance appraisals
  • Oversee of Clinical Trials ensuring all aspects from startup to closure are conducted professionally and to a high standard, in accordance with Novo Nordisk's policies and procedures, external regulations and ICH GCP, acting as an ambassador for the company and contributes to making Novo Nordisk the preferred partner in clinical trials.
  • In strong partnership with the rest of the CDC leaders, you will have a relevant role in the cultural transformation towards agile ways of working, simplification, and definition of an optimal communication strategy.
  • Cocreate and assist the implementation of a common Clinical Development strategy in alignment with all relevant local, regional, global and CDC strategy. Be the point of contact for global and regional stakeholders in clinical trial matters.

Qualifications

  • Life Science Degree
  • Strong Clinical Research background with
    minimum 3 years of People Manager experience in a Clinical Operations department. Experience managing diverse teams will be an advantage.
  • International mindset and ability to lead and inspire beyond the physical frontiers. Experience managing people based in different countries will be an advantage.
  • People centricity and strong leadership skills. Excellent communication, and presentation skills. Crossfunctional and team player mindset.
  • Ability to work in changing environment, leading an agile methodology, being innovative and finding efficient ways of doing things.
  • English and Spanish fluency is required for this role.
