About the role:

The Head of Procurement is responsible for bringing to the Profit and Loss entity a step change in savings/value by acting as an intermediary between Global Procurement and the Business Unit organization, and by leading the Business Unit based actions

Main responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the procurement budget and action plans and ensuring that savings realization is achieved, and the savings are included in the financial budgets.

You will support, participate, and potentially lead crosscountry/ crosscategory initiatives to gather maximum of savings or value for the Group
Besides that, you will:
Build and lead the organization and infrastructure required to implement outstanding procurement and transactional activities together with the Global Head of Procurement and the direct team;
Ensure integration of procurement activities with business and be a real business partner to the management
Integrate the value from the Global procurement actions into local actions and targets;
Support/allocate resources to Global initiatives;
Define local procurement strategies and policies and ensure compliance to achieve real savings and value creation inside the RBU.
Assess purchasing needs (with RBU Management Team)
Lead planning efforts for purchasing organization;
Actively collaborate with the Global purchasing, especially with the Category Managers and Lead Buyers to integrate the maximum of savings and value from the global actions into RBU.
Support and lead both local and global process changes.
Define and validate the yearly purchasing action plan and budget. Monitor savings and define budget impact and ensure performance reports to the RBU management.
Work closely with the management team and other functions, especially with sales, in order to identify TCO and value creation opportunities.
Within the global framework, set local policies and standards. Ensure internal policies and laws are upheld while also ensuring that external policies and laws (including contracts) are set within the regional business unit defined rules.
Search for continuous improvement opportunities, together with Operations, Functions, suppliers and the purchasing team.

Skills & Capabilities

Strong background in procurement and cross functional & diverse team leadership
Experience in working in global IT matrix environment, Cross Functional Team leadership
CIPS certification will be an advantage
Financial acuity; Negotiation/contract management; Budget management; Supplier Management performance and relationship; Demand Management and planning
Proficiency in Spanish and English
