The
Opportunity**
Food Safety Engineer:
Main Responsibilities:
- Implementation and compliance with the Cleaning Program for the entire building, production rooms, equipment, tools, etc.
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the cleaning standards of the entire building, rooms, equipment and tools.
- Direct alignment with food safety requirements in terms of Microbiology, allergens and contaminants (physical and chemical).
- Direct contact with Production regarding cleaning operations.
- Root Cause Investigation of issues related to cleaning procedures or derived events/related to cleaning.
- Responsibility for the validation of cleaning processes.
- Promote food safety through the hygiene of materials, processes and people.
- Responsibility for the hygiene design of new building projects, equipment or processes.
- Continuous evaluation of plant hygiene in accordance with legal and quality standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or similar in health sciences or food sciences (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food technologist etc).
- Knowledge and experience in the Nutrition and Food sector from the point of view of Quality and / or Operations (Operations in production).
- Knowledge and experience of the design and implementation of cleaning programs in buildings, production rooms, production equipment, CIP (Cleaning in Place) systems and COP (Cleaning Out of Place) processes.
- Knowledge and experience in validation procedures related to cleaning will be valued.
- Knowledge and experience in Microbiology of facilities will be valued.
- Knowledge and experience in Allergens and Contaminants of facilities, ingredients and processes that affect the product will be valued.
- Technical training and knowledge of factory processes or with the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly will be valued.
- Specific training in statistics and data analysis will be valued.
- Basic knowledge of tools and quality systems that help make decisions or with the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly (CAPA, Incidents, ).
- Basic knowledge of office tools, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to synthesize information and translate it for presentation and decision making.
- High knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Ability to communicate and influence colleagues and leaders at all levels both within the organization and outside it (hires). With the ability to foster a culture of quality among colleagues.
- Organization skills.
- With innovation capacity to develop work strategies to continuously improve the program.
- With responsibility to be able to present results on time (data reporting, KPIs, etc.) and achieve the objectives.
