CIC energiGUNE is seeking for a laboratory technician to join the research team dedicated to the study of reaction mechanism of inorganic materials, in order to contribute to the research line dedicated to the development of Na-ion batteries.


The aim of the project is to develop new carbon materials to be used as negative electrode of Sodium ion batteries.

Job functions:


  • Synthesis of new carbon materials
  • Perform structural, textural, morphological, compositional characterizations by means of diffraction, imaging and analytical techniques (XRD, SEM, gas adsorption etc )
  • Perform electrochemical cycling tests

DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTITUTION:


  • Bachelor's in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields
  • Experience in synthesis or materials characterization
  • Knowledge of carbon materials, pyrolysis synthesis, electrochemical testing or Xray diffraction are not compulsory but will be very positively considered.
  • Good verbal skills in English.
  • Proactive and committed attitude with high level of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
  • A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.
