The People Partner acts as a trusted advisor offering in-country policy expertise and knowledge to support and educate leaders, managers and associates on all P&O topics on the moments that matter throughout the whole employee lifecycle (value proposition, talent acquisition, talent management, learning, performance management, employee relations, rewards, payroll and reporting) making a positive difference to the work experience of our people.

In addition, People Partners implement P&O change initiatives at a country level acting as detailed designers and agents of change by working with Business Partners.

Major accountabilities:


  • First point of escalation for all leaders and managers on their daytoday P&O topics, providing expert advice, and guidance. Support and coach leaders, manager and associates on all P&O topics including promoting selfsufficiency in people processes.
  • Actively participate in complex, enterprise P&O projects or initiatives; ensure local business representation and alignment.
  • Drive and lead change management plans in country on transformation and restructuring efforts.
  • Lead career and development conversations; understand team aspirations, skills and the capabilities required for success.
  • Leads representation to local authorities, ensures local Employee Relations regulations are in line with local regulations and Novartis integrity standards from a cross divisional / country lens
  • Advise on local payroll / legal implications. Ensure the timely and accurate transfer of data (variable payments and other concepts that impact payroll) to P&O services/Payroll. Support Payroll, rewards and T&A projects
  • Design new hire onboarding initiatives. Manage internal movement offers and mobility.
  • Closely monitor and design the strategic workforce planning for the production site. Collaborate with TAS to ensure right level of resourcing and a robust TAS strategy for RLT manufacturing
  • Lead EVP initiatives (e.g., career fairs, certifications, external, internal events).

Minimum requirements

Obligatory requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor/Master's degree in HR/Labour Relations/Psychology/Business or related field (Master degree is preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in HR related field, ideally in HR generalist role
  • Solid experience both in local P&O/HR and above country roles, with proven impact and results
  • Experience in P&O administration and other disciplines (e. g., Labour Relations Responsible, Compensation & Benefits, etc.) is highly valued
  • Good communication and project management skills
  • English and Spanish fluent
