Key responsibilities for this role include:

Supervise monthly closure and reconciliations and ensure accounting transactions are performed correctly on time (including calculations of key accruals) and monthly fluctuation analysis.
Preparation and closing of the statutory financial statements and group packages in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP and in collaboration with tax consultants and auditors
Helping of Income tax and corporate tax requirements in permanent contact with local tax advisors
Interaction with the shared service center for accounting and administration issues
Management, updating and optimizing of all administrativefinancial processes and procedures in accordance with internal audits rules
Balance Sheet forecasting
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the core accounting department (including accounts receivable, general ledger and technical accounting), to ultimately ensure timely, complete and accurate financial reporting.
Ensure that accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are fully compliant with Viatris policies.
GL account reconciliations
Liaising with internal & external financial auditors.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Degree in Business Administration or similar in the Accounting and Finance areas
Strong knowledge of accounting
Minimum of 3 years experience in a big 4 audit company
Proactive approach, organizational capacity, problem solving, confidentiality, ability to work in a team and leadership experience.
Good knowledge of tax legislation and general accounting of financial statements in local GAAP and US GAAP
Fluent in written and spoken English & Spanish
Good knowledge of SAP
Good knowledge of Office package and in particular Excel at an advanced level
