Summary

The Cluster Director of Revenue collaborates closely with the hotel's Leadership team and the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure the Sales department runs efficiently according to Hyatt's Corporate Strategies and brand standards. The aim is to meet employee, guest, and owner expectations.

The Director of Revenue offers guidance to the hotel's Leadership Team in crafting long-term strategies and short-term tactics to boost the hotel's overall revenues and maximize profit. This position has oversight of all technical accounting aspects related to the hotel's revenue streams. Additionally, the role involves providing crucial leadership on the hotel's revenue recognition policies and frequent interactions with the sales, operations, and marketing departments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Revenue works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acts as the main point of contact and nurtures productive relationships with all stakeholders, including the hotel General Manager and sales leaders in HC-TH Madrid.
  • Maximizes overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage by implementing effective pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Manages and supervises revenue management analytic functions to generate reports that support and assess hotel business strategies.
  • Produces precise revenue forecasts that aid in setting hotel objectives to outperform competitors.
  • Implements hotel sales strategy and pricing recommendations across all channels, Hyatt revenue systems, and market segments.
  • Analyzes the outcomes of deployed strategies and tactics monthly. Provides all necessary communication to hotel teams, regional teams, and ownership groups.
  • Designs the revenue forecasting process for the hotel to ensure forecast accuracy aligns with Hyatt standards. Prepares the Annual Budget for the hotel.
  • Oversees and assists with Reservations.
  • Ensures market intelligence by collecting overall market data, continually evaluating competitive hotel chains and revenue management practices to grasp demand and formulate sustainable strategies.
  • Identifies marketing initiative opportunities in collaboration with the Marketing team that bolster and influence total hotel revenue.
  • Devises and recommends sales strategy regarding pricing for the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments.
  • Ensures proactive deployment of all strategies and tactics to fulfill contractual performance clauses for all hotels in the Madrid portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Strategic Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism/ Revenue management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as Revenue Manager, Marketing Strategy Manager, or Marketing Analyst.
  • Demonstration of strategic orientation, along with strong problem-solving, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in hotel reservations management would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Spanish is mandatory.
