    Regulatory Mapping Lawyer
    Madrid

    As a Regulatory Mapping Lawyer at Barclays, you'll be part of the Legal Inventory Management (LIM) Europe team. Your main role will involve developing and managing the Europe Laws, Rules, and Regulations (LRR) Inventory. Additionally, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to implement a new LRR Risk governance and control framework within Barclays' Europe Legal function. The LIM team is introducing new roles and responsibilities for Barclays lawyers worldwide in relation to LRR Risk.

    What will your responsibilities include?

    • Assisting in coordinating and overseeing Legal procedures related to LRR Risk
    • Developing and maintaining the European LRR Inventory for Barclays lawyers globally
    • Producing relevant MI for senior governance forums
    • Supporting European lawyers on remediation activities for LRR risks
    • Collaborating with Legal stakeholders in Europe to prioritize team activities
    • Providing necessary input to Technology for the LRR inventory database functionality
    • Preparing and maintaining LRR Risk-related reporting and representing Legal at governance forums

    What qualifications are we looking for?

    • Qualified lawyer or equivalent
    • Experience in Legal roles within the financial services industry
    • Background in risk controls and compliance management
    • Proficiency in English for business communication

    • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders

    Where is the role based?
    Established in 1979, Barclays has a well-established presence in Spain. From our Madrid office, we offer a comprehensive Corporate and Investment Bank service to local and global clients. Situated within the financial district of Madrid, our office is conveniently located within a short distance of the Gregorio Marañón train station.
