Bachelor's degree.

  • Several years professional experience in project/program management that includes building and operating technologybased products.
  • Business proficiency in English and one additional language (German, French, Dutch or Japanese preferred).
  • Strong judgment and decisionmaking skills.

  • High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information.

We are looking for a talented Senior Program Risk Manager to join an exciting new program working with customs authorities.

You will investigate complex cases of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other types of product abuse (e.g. restricted/unsafe products).

You will partner closely with numerous Amazon teams across the Customer Trust organization (including program, product, and technology owners), Legal, Public Policy and Public Relations, as well as with regulatory agencies, authorities, and law enforcement.

You must be able to present complex information in a concise manner in written English, and have a track record of using data analysis to solve complex problems and support business decisions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive program roadmap and strategy.
  • Utilize and help improve existing investigative strategies and solutions to prevent and mitigate risk.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable models and tools that speed up both decision making and accuracy for the organization.
  • Analyze existing policy and process gaps, developing solutions to close them.
  • Own and/or manage projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency. This will include working extensively with both internal and external teams.
  • Investigate complex cases of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other types of product abuse (restricted and unsafe products), using highlevel judgment to own complex enforcement decisions.
  • Present investigation findings, risk areas with data, and clear suggestions on how to mitigate those risks.

To continue building customer trust, the EU Trustworthy Shopping Experience team works with authorities, merchants, brands, vendors and customers to identify and prevent Selling Partner risk, as well as infringements of intellectual property (e.g. counterfeit, trademark, copyright) and other abuse in our product catalog.

  • Experience conducting risk investigations and/or analysis, enabling successful results, mitigating or substantiating threats.
  • Experience in risk, program or product management in the context of: investigations management, brand protection, fraud and/or risk control functions.
  • Experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional bias for action willing to move quickly and decisively to resolve an incident.
