Position Overview:
In the team of CropScience data & Analytics, we're looking for a
Data Stewart
The individual works collaboratively with interdisciplinary scientists, IT and engineering professionals across the organizations
The individual will Implement and maintain data management, governance, curation and stewardship in alignment with IT and business strategies, supporting operational Vegetable Research and Development (R&D) workflows
Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain data management, governance, curation and stewardship in alignment with IT and business strategies, supporting operational Vegetable Research and Development (R&D) workflows
- Understand business capability needs and processes as they relate to Information Technology (IT) solutions through partnering with IT and business stakeholders;
- Remediate data anomalies through analysis and profiling using a variety of tools enabling automated calculations, monitoring, reporting, and remediation solutions for all data types;
- Proactively catch data anomalies and utilize root cause analysis to identify trends and assess impact of data quality issues, partner with regional stakeholder teams to correct data issues;
- Project Management and platform deployment of key IT data and software solutions supporting all workflows delivering data to advance products within Vegetable R&D;

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Agriculture or other related field with six years of experience, or Master's degree with four years of experience, or a Ph.
Skills (Technical & Soft)
- Experience querying SQL and/or NoSQL databases and experience using APIs;
- Experience profiling data, summarizing, and reporting data quality metrics;
- Demonstrated ability to summarize and deliver detailed technical documentation and data results to stakeholders;
- Basic experience with modern engineering technologies and data principles, for instance, Big Data Cloud Compute, NoSQL, etc.;
- Demonstrated critical indepth domain knowledge that provides insight and authority to working groups;
- Understanding of agile development, continuous deployment, DevOps, and decision science
- AI, ML, OR, etc.
