As part of the commitment, Bayer will reduce its Scope 3 emissions in line with Science Based Targets (SBTi).


In order to further reduce these emissions with our suppliers, we are looking to hire a Head of Supplier Decarbonization at Procurement Sustainability group.


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have fun to work with passionate people
  • Be an inspiring leader on supplier decarbonization with a clear implementation focus
  • Form, develop and lead a team of expert professionals
  • Lead Bayer ́s Scope3 reduction program to reduce Scope 3 emissions in line with Science Based Targets (SBTi) commitments at Bayer
  • Define strategic longterm direction for supplier decarbonization and setting the tone for supplier engagement on Scope 3 emission
reduction

  • Shape supplier engagement strategies together with our Procurement teams and business units
  • Lead commercial (business case) and technical (feasibility) assessments to drive measures for supplier decarbonization
  • Ensure significant emission reduction at a highly distributed supplier landscape both directly at the suppliers as well as in their value chain

WHO YOU ARE

  • University degree in Science, Engineering or Economics, or equivalent
  • Motivated to have a strong impact in sustainability for Bayer
  • Passionate about leadership. You will motivate and empower the team to deliver outstanding results
  • Excellent collaborator who motivates change across different levels
  • Experience in interacting with suppliers with sound understanding of CO2 emission reduction measures
  • Shown expertise in leading large global projects with diverse teams and ability to communicate effectively with Top Management
  • High proficiency in English, both written and spoken
