These are the DOTS of MY life!
Today is my Fathers 74th Birthday and if he was still physically here with us.
He would have been a handsome 74 year old, winning everyone’s heart when ever he started a conversation.
Remembering you is easy we do it everyday but missing a parent is a heartache that never goes away.
Happy Birthday Dada!

My father would always wait for my good night!
But that night was like no other!
In a panicking voice my mother screamed:
"Rush Fatima - we need to get your father to the hospital, he’s had a stroke!"
On 20th July 2014, my whole __ world __ crumbed
My DAD passed away in 2014
Our biggest rock was no more
I would need to realize how my father’ loss would help me become more resilient to the other storms life had for me.
( WORK LIFE BALANCE – RELATIONSHIPS – FINANCIAL STRESS – EDUCATION– FAMILY SUPPORT – SET BACKS – SELF DOUBT_FEAR OF FAILURE )
8 years later,
I’ve paved the way on a road less travelled.
Why?
Because when the bread winner is lost, and you are a family of 4 women, LIFE demands of you to Pave your own Path!
As human-beings, we have the Ultimate Adapting Potential!
An Untapped Resilience!
In the last 8 years, I grew my career from a HR to an Entrepreneur and my father’s words go with me
“Leave an Intentional Positive Impact wherever you go:"
Today, As a Career Growth Strategist, I help people realize their untapped career potential
With faculty at the University of Dubai
As Steve Job’s said,
“We have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in our future – Steve Jobs !”
My Father and I would always have chit chats before bed time. I would tell him about work and he would tell me some of his life stories and learnings.
He would give me the advice I needed when he knew I needed it.
He was my CHIEF SUPPORT OFFICER and I miss him a lot on his birthday today but his words and memories will be evergreen in my heart 💙 Farewell Dada we always remember you this way.

Thank You Fatima. Although we know the loss is inevitable we are always devastated by it and must begin the long uphill trek to a acceptance and healing. it is not easy.

#1 Yes @Ken Boddie recognise them as pathways to our success and happiness, rather than roadblocks is exactly what keep in going, one day at a time.

Being intentional is vital in most if not all enterprises. As @Ken Boddie said recognizing and using opportunities as they come. Your idea about dots is very similar to something I have been taught in the past, though most of these dots are best seen in the rearview and point in the direction to which we might be best suited.

I don’t know about trusting that the dots will somehow connect, Fatima. I prefer to think that we can create our own opportunities, or at least seize them and not let them pass by. We just have to recognise them as pathways to our success and happiness, rather than roadblocks.
