Let's make honey !

Hi bees ! 

beBee is an affinity social network with great bees !  the first movers are the best asset for us ! As Juan Imaz says, you can be sure that we will always listen to you. It is our pleasure having such professionals like you in beBee.

I am finding a lot of interesting professionals thanks to beBee, and I am able to enjoy both ( my hobbies and personal interests, and professional ones ! ). But the best thing - without any doubt - is making beBee with our bees, many of them already are friends ! It is amazing ! 

beBee concepts

  • bee:  you and me, the best asset for beBee, we are workers bees :-)
  • hive: is an affinity group, where you can share and connect with like-minded people.
  • buzz: is a content ( image, video, whatever you like ) that you share through the network
  • producer: it is the beBee Publishing Platform.  Bees produce honey. It can be quality content , a long-content, a story, an article. It can have text, image, video ..

Zack Thorn , I think we are the first social network that listened and change things and renamed a product, bearing in mind the opinion from the most of users ;). I am proud of this change, because , again, it comes from our userbase. Bees produce honey, one of the most healthy and natural food for humans ! A Producer can be a photographer (pics) , author, a blogger and also can be a story, a professional photograph, image & video, whatever...

Already updated ! Thanks bees ! We try to please most of our bees. Obviously , as Ken Boddie said, it is impossible to please 100% to everyone ! We will go on listening for new features that are coming soon !! go go bees !!! :-)

Javier C\u00e1mara Rica Personally, I can't understand why anyone would be offended by the use of either "Honey Maker" or "Honey Producer". As you suggest, Javier, bees make or produce honey, just as writers, bloggers, photographers, etc produce posts or blogs. As long as everyone understands the context (and they surely must if they are using beBee) and provided that they understand your definitions (which you have clearly set out in many posts), and bearing in mind that your concept is worker bees producing honey in hives, then let's not get too picky. You guys are doing a great job of interacting with the bees, providing open feedback by way of encouragement and advanced advice of possible changes being considered, plus, where it is appropriate, soliciting feedback. But you can't please all of the people all of the time. So go with your gut feeling and let's move forward. #22

Thanks Dean, I appreciate a lot your opinion guys. Should we come back to Publisher ? We can just put some labels for writing make hone (write a story), but name the product "Publisher" and also the label over the buzzes should be "Publisher" instead of "honey makers". Dean, let's wait for more opinions, and we rename it ! As Juan Imaz and me told you, we will listen !!! thanks again

I would suggest ''bee publisher'' or something a bit more neutral I find make honey a bit gimmicky but it is a question of taste so dont mind me :-) , I also think as ''bee publisher'' we need to make every effort to find the relevant or the right hive or as close as possible before hitting the publish button and not looking at gaining # if not available build the hive now that means there will be less views but no pain no gain. Also commending the reactivity of the bee staff in geenral and Javier in particular :-)

My feeling is that there is a danger if you carry the bee theme too far, the platform will lose its identity as a crossroads between professional and personal (work/life). If you are solely looking to build an awesome social network, that is fine, but you are targeting recruitment, B2B, B2C, B2E etc. Platforms like Peach and Snapchat will unlikely be adopted by professionals in insurance or banking etc because they are too gimmicky. Bees/Buzz/Hive are perfect, but I don't think you should move beyond that, especially for the Publisher platform. Making Honey/Honey Producer does not equate to the act of writing in any way, and debases your professional platform as gimmicky. If you want to utilise the bee theme, perhaps you could test the word Pollinate, and Pollinator with people like John White, MBA. Pollinate does convey distribution. Otherwise, I would prefer you stick to a more formal title for Publisher like beBee Pro, beBee Authors, beBee ContentPro, beBee Words. Warmest, Dean
