Here are great ways to get the people whom you want to recognize you to offer you the positions you want and the salary you deserve.

Many people intrigued as to how successful people got as far as they have. The answer is that they had a sickening work ethic.

I'm with Robert Cormack. The whole idea of re-inventing yourself kinda smacks of a bit of self-loathing. Plus I'm not sure that it's even possible. Being all that you can be by putting out the best thoughts you have is all that can be expected of anyone. If you do that consistently, you will see that a certain number of people will pick up on that, and a whole lot won't. But it's not a zero sum game. It's just a game that moves at the speed of life. Patience, persistence and hard work are what's required. People will form their own impressions of you that will make your brand what it is. Some things can't be engineered but have to happen organically. The development of a strong persona or brand, is one of them.

The theme I really like is about developing an "integrated online presence". If you truly have a strong personal brand you have an integrated presence and you exude that same brand everywhere you are. I also love that beBee recognizes different platforms for difference purposes. It's important to have a primary hub to operate from and use the others to augment. beBee has set itself up to be that hub.

Before re-inventing, comes creating oneself. Take your time, breath deeply, write about it 20 minutes a day, the whole week long. Brainstorm with peers and ask them how they see you. takes notes, some expressions might be precious and uselful in your (numerous)baselines on your differents social media accounts. Segment who you want to connect with and make them your targets - primary (40%)- secondary(20%) - others (combined %). Launch your branding campaign 1)objective 1 - get to be exposed 2)get to be known for at least 3 useful reasons to be engaged with ! Be structured. At for the road. Do not ever give up !

Only people with no talent at all or no imagination , with like almost zero skills cannot be -1) creative -2)inventive -3)positive , cannot reinvent themselves . BeBee branding tool ? certainly yes ! LinkedIn branding tool yes ! facebook branding tool, etc...yes+ yes +yes. Branding belongs to Marketing. And marketing are sciences & tools. believe in yourself matters, more than opinions. Great post and a lot of essentials statements Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee. LinkedIn is necessary to feed the results and give something to snack for recruiters. They are doing their job. Screening you. If you are not prepared of have put together a solid branding, portfolio, showcases, all the sections in fact (for that LI is really well built) you just do not interact with the very same purpose why you are on LI. Getting hired ! It will remain, i humbly think the largest recruitment database in the world. LinkedIn pulse is a sub-product and will be very useful if you have something to say, or write. Now LinkedIn demonstrated that it is not a free , nor an open platform, it is meant for business & recruiting. You want to get visibility in from HR people, pay for it ! Brand building has a cost. And everyone should consider that...budgeting. So Brand Building, isnt free of efforts, knowledge, skills, and..costs. beBee would be a better version tool to give the opportunity to see how we behave online, what do we post, what do we lead as constructive & proactive initiatives. I was 23d LinkedIn influencer in my country, now that i use beBee, i have daily offers and it doesn't mind where i stand in terms of ranking or views or followers.What matters is that beBee changed the game: ENGAGEMENT with serious motivated hiring managers, project holders, investors, peers & new team mates. affiliates, business developpers...and this all over the world.

We should all be a little careful about "reinventing ourselves." I see posts that are obviously influenced by something they read here. Being influenced, being inspired is fantastic. Just remember that writing like them, or taking on the same topics isn't reinventing yourself. Always be you. Everyone else is taken.

Pamela, FWIW, I personally do not think your comment is off-topic at all. I just don't believe in reinventing oneself, when it comes to "branding". Indeed, I don't believe in inventing yourself in the first place. Or your "brand". I personally believe a brand develops and grows, and that you can nurture it and cultivate it, but you cannot create it. At least, not if the term "authenticity" means anything when it comes to branding. Cheers!

Javier, A while back I stumbled into something that has become a bit of a mantra for me. "What you know is important, Who you know is significant but the single most critical element in building a brand, a reputation or a business is who trusts you." That discovery is why I have spoken on three continents and why my clients are all successful. It is quite common to hear that, "We do business with those who know, like and trust us." Getting to trust is critical. Knowing how can be learned. BeBee can be a way to build that trust.

Thanks for another brilliant buzz, Javier. You make many excellent points, as usual. I would just add that it's also about who you get to KNOW WELL and vice-versa. There are several level of "who you know" and the majority of them are usually through superficial connections. But proactive networking means really getting to know people on a personal level and establishing a bond of trust, accountability and accessibility. And while this is possible online in the virtual world, it's always more effective getting to know people in the real world. I recall John White, MBA producing honey on this topic. Thanks again, Javier. The buzz is growing louder worldwide!
