How to organize a students' concert, 4th part

2462de2b.jpg... But I organized the concert at my studio at the moment, so I used very small amps or unplugged instruments as acoustic and classical guitars. In this photo you can see "the stage". The small colored chairs are for 7 to 8 years old students and the other students used the ones behind. From left to right you can see all my students used in the concert: the piano, an electric guitar behind a chair, the stand for the mic I connected to a small amp, the red guitar is the bass, a classical guitar, an electric, an acoustic and on the right another electric behind a chair. They played in small groups of 2 or 3 students: guitar, bass, piano and sang.

4e6c3441.jpgMost of the audience was young and sat on the floor on these carpets I have. In the photo I still didn't extend them to keep them clean, but they cover all the floor. The older people sat on the chairs and sofa. This time the concert lasted an hour and a half. My students played 15 songs in total. Then there was a snack in which they talked about the songs, what are they learning,... they had a good time.

I have two toilets: one for women and one for men. My advice is if some day you make a party or concert at your home and many people come, make one for each.

My student played all instruments without drums (obviously! Is not possible here!) That allowed them to make small delays or pauses when they need more time in the most difficult parts delaying the rest of the band. But you can't actually do this, it was only because it was the first (or second) time they played. Normally, when a professional band perform with drums, they don't "wait for the other players" since the whole song must be on time, "a tempo" every moment.

Even so, this was an experience to start playing in front of the audience, in this case their parents, classmates and friends, and expand knowledge step by step. It was not open to public, since it was a small place (see photos) that's why I didn't give you more details about it. I wrote these articles to share what I was doing these weeks so you can know this experience. I hope you liked it!
