    We are looking for Global Buyer for our global strategic procurement department. You will be reporting to the Global Commodity Manager and will integrate the team responsible for managing and executing the strategy for the Bearings Commodity.

    How to contribute to our vision

    As a Global Buyer you will work with strategic activities in relation to purchasing from external suppliers of Siemens Gamesa. In this position, you will be responsible for the daily activities within a scope of commodity and suppliers. The major activities will include:

    Implementing Commodity strategies to ensure long-term capacity & cost-efficient supply of materials.

    Contribute to our Supply Chain footprint, drive GVS initiatives and achieve single source reduction.

    Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain the highest feasible savings.

    Identify and resolve complex problems and apply problem-solving skills in order to deal with challenging situations.

    Provide purchasing assistance to support design on cost reduction activities.

    What you need to make a difference

    Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for:

  • The ideal candidate has experience in direct material purchasing and/or supply chain and a relevant technical/commercial education. If you have experience with the Siemens Gamesa business and our way of working, it will be an advantage. Also technical knowledge and Siemens Gamesa product knowledge will be an advantage.
  • To be successful in this role you preferable:
  • Strong experience in executing strategies that materialize in effective tactics
  • An experienced negotiator who knows how to build long-term relationships and success
  • Strong track record of achieving cost reductions for external spend
  • Strong team-player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong English at negotiation level both written and spoken
  • Knowledge & Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration / Construction / Engineering / Industrial Engineering or any equivalent.
  • +7 years of work experience in the procurement area and a proven track record, ideally in a global organization.
  • You have a strong commercial and technical understanding and knowledge of procurement, project management and international contract law.
  • Experience in advanced international negotiations, Strategic sourcing and People management.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, e-tendering, S2C-/P2P processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as the ability to manage and interact in teams should be given.
  • Language: English (fluent), preferably an additional language.
