Job Title: Linux Kernel Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Linux Kernel Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our kernel squad, you will be responsible for expanding Ubuntu Linux support for System On Chip (SoC) platforms.

About You

• You have a strong background in software development at the hardware level with experience working on device drivers, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and other hardware-level system engineering concepts.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate regularly with a globally distributed team to integrate platform support into the Ubuntu Linux kernel.
• Work closely with silicon vendor partners to diagnose and resolve kernel issues reported by partners, customers, and the community through rigorous testing.
• Owning delivery of distinct silicon-optimised variants of the Ubuntu Linux kernel worldwide.
