We are looking for a smart, customer-obsessed, and analytical Senior Data Product Manager to own and execute on the Data Product Strategy for Tax Engine Business Product Classification and Taxonomy Services.

The role blends aspects of product management, data analytics and data science, and entails a deep understanding of data products and passion for creating world class customer experiences.


In the role, you'll manage a cross-functional product development and deployment process while communicating with the business leaders whose operations are going to be impacted by the model and the programming surrounding it.

You'll coordinate across functions and units, exercising influence without formal authority, and understanding customer needs.

You'll ensure the Data Products that started as a minimum viable products (MVP)-based approach — have an ongoing iteration cycle that allows for new versions of the product on a rolling basis.

You'll be responsible for ensuring and measuring the ongoing use and value of the data product on a quarterly basis, whether the product has internal or external customers

You'll partner with Data Program Managers and Data Engineers, responsible for a complete data and advanced analytics solution, product adoption, user interface architecture and product usage.

Our Program Managers are focused on how the product is adopted and used, what the user interface looks like, how many people use it, and how it creates value for the business/Ops.

You'll participate with them on staff meetings, understand the priorities of that part of the business, and do bi-directional translation between business needs and opportunities and the solutions that can address them.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create and manage Data Product Strategy for Product Classification and Taxonomy Services
  • Partnering with Program Managers on ensuring our Data Products fulfill all attributes and are in alignment with overall Product Strategy
  • Working closely with product, analytics and tech teams to test and implement new features and influence product roadmap
  • Partnering with Business Intelligence Engineer and Tax Engine Artisans teams to develop consumer insights that inform product plans, as well as test the effectiveness of analytical activities
Barcelona, B, ESP

  • 4+ years of demonstrable data product management experience with Data Mesh (experience in building a decentralized data architecture)
