In order to support our business in Spain and Portugal we are looking for an
enthusiastic and efficient Iberia sales accountant to join our finance team.
Your position:
You want to pursue your career in finance and accounting, you love numbers and working as a team together with all internal stakeholders (finance, logistics and sales team).
You will be looking after our customers and all things accounting for Iberia (Spain & Portugal), joining our regional accounting team (based in Paris, Amsterdam or Milan).
Your responsibilities:
- You are in charge of our sales ledger in Iberia;
- Building strong relationships with our customers and improving ways of working with them on all things accounting;
- Managing claims and deductions from these customers, working closely with our sales and supply team to address them;
- Make any necessary invoicing adjustments and ensuring fast and clean collections of payments;
- Post customer payments and check this is in line with our bank statements;
- Ensure payments received are properly remitted, and in a timely manner;
- Provide bimonthly KPI around open balances, overdue invoices, unprocessed claims, etc.;
- Work in cooperation with our IT department to transfer our customers to EDI invoicing and more automated process;
- You play a major part in our month end process not only on closing our sales ledger but supporting our accounting manager on general accounting preparing accruals, tax declaration and statutory documents.
Competencies:
- You have a first successful experience in a similar role;
- You have, through your previous experiences, a good understanding of the retail landscape in Spain and Portugal;
- You speak both English and Spanish (good level required);
- You are selforganised, autonomous and able to set your own priorities;
- You are serious and organised, well known for the quality of your work;
- You respect your commitments and deliver in a timely manner;
