The SPA Studios, the Award-winning Feature Animation Studio is selecting talented and experienced light and shadow artists for our new feature project.
The lighting artist will work under the artistic direction of the head of lighting to "light" elements in a unique lighting software to continue to embellish the beautifully hand drawn animation.
Responsibilities
- Advanced drawing and understanding of light, and how it affects three dimensional objects.
- Ability to interpret 2D stylized drawings and to propose their threedimensional form through lighting.
- Solve any technical issues that might arise
- Collaborate with the Head of Lighting to manage the team and ensure a consistent result.
- Written and spoken English is a must.
- Must be willing to relocate to Madrid.
- The workflow is 2D but 3d lighting knowledge is a plus
- We use inhouse software and provide training.
