We are currently looking for a
Finance Accountant who wants to join our team.

You will manage all the accounting processes, systems and tools in order to provide an accurate and faithful image of our financial statements to our stakeholders.

What will you do?

As said, your mission will be to manage all the accounting processes, systems and tools in order to provide an accurate and faithful image of our financial statements to our stakeholders.

You will be responsible for conducting the full accounting cycle process in a fast-growth environment.

You will:

i) Accounting:

Manage accounting, execute and/or record transactions and maintain supporting documentation;
Manage and record vendor invoices, banks and credit cards payments;
Prepare and control intercompany transactions;
Register payroll and other expense allocation;
Prepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger;
Maintain and update fixed assets ledger;
Manage corporate bank accounts in the UK and Spain;
Control of cash flows and cash position;
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP accounting rules, where applicable.

ii) Tax:

Prepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reports;
Support in the preparation of the InterCompany Transfer Pricing Documentation.

iii) Audit and Internal Control:

Safeguard internal controls process through the review of Purchase Orders details, contract terms and invoicing;
Collaborate with external auditors, both at national and international level, for the performance of the annual financial audits;
Manage the monthly internal audit process;
Ensure appropriate cost control across the organization.

In doing so, you will contribute to the achievement of Novicap's long-term growth plans

Who will you be working with?
You will directly report to our Finance Manager and you will work closely with the rest of colleagues across Madrid, Barcelona and the rest of Spain A young and dynamic team that's waiting for you with arms open

You are the right fit if you have:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
At least 5 years' experience in a similar role (audit, controlling, reporting)
Knowledge or ERP systems (bonus points if you have worked with Netsuite)
Excellent use of Microsoft Excel
Technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles
Excellent listening, speaking & written communication skills, both in Spanish and English
Organization skills, so as attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem solving skills, so as analytical ones
