It is a key pillar of an ambitious plan to transform the entire business and become the world's leading habitat platform.

The marketplace will help expand the product and service offering, improve Customer experience, reinforce the market positioning and create a key revenue stream.


MISSION


As such, the Leroy Merlin Spain marketplace team is looking for a talented and customer-focused Team Leader to support the growth of the marketplace recently launched.

The position offers a unique opportunity to support the growth of medium to large businesses, lead growth initiatives and develop a deep understanding of e-commerce.

The Team Leader plays a key role in the long-term improvement of the Customer and Seller experience, as well as the success of the marketplace within their team.

The Team Leader will be responsible for driving programs, taking initiatives and establishing processes within his/her team.

He/she will be the primary advocate for broadening selection, enhancing customer and seller experience, as well as growing the business.

He/she will work with various stakeholders and teams within the Adeo organization, both locally and internationally.

In addition, he/she will lead a team of account managers who work directly with retail companies and on projects to improve the overall recruitment experience for new 3P Sellers.

The Team Leader is expected to improve business development processes in a scalable, self-service format.

Finally, he/she will need to be able to analyze complex data to identify growth opportunities, coach and develop his team to help them succeed, and work with peers to invent scalable solutions.

The position will be based in our office in Madrid (Alcobendas), with a hybrid model (on-site and work-from-home).


YOUR MISSION
Specifically, the Team Leader will have several key responsibilities, including:

  • Supervise and motivate a team of Key Account Managers and New Account Managers to achieve the Marketplace goals.
  • Manage, develop and grow a team of talented individuals.
  • Gain a deep understanding of internal and external variables that impact the Marketplace (forecasting and planning for sales growth, auditing and reporting key metrics, understanding trends) to identify category specific market opportunities, improve the customer experience and grow the business.
  • Coordinate projects with crossfunctional teams (coordination with Sales, IT, Retail, Stores and Finance teams) and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibility projects.
  • Conduct business opportunity analysis to meet and exceed revenue, profitability and operational performance goals.

Basic qualifications

  • Successful experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Highly organized and resultsoriented with a high degree of ownership.
  • Ability to manage, influence and develop key stakeholders (internal and external) across multiple teams and projects, plan and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience managing a team of 4+ people, at least 2 years.
  • Team player and collaborative spirit, with a passion for developing people.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and verbal Spanish and English is essential.
  • Analytical and datadriven.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in ecommerce and/or retail/industrial sectors, ideally in other Marketplaces.
  • Master's degree and/or MBA from a top business school, engineering school or university.
  • Experience in developing relationships and growth with business partners.
  • Experience in agile project management involving multiple business units.
  • Experience with account and/or vendor management
  • Additional EU language(s): French, Italian or Portuguese
  • Proven track record of driving business performance
