- + Proven track record of 5 years on process modelling and
simulation tools in multiple unit equipment simulation, for
instance, using Aspen Plus, HYSYS,and knowledge in
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) would be helpful.

Familiar with energy and environmental research areas,

specifically energy.

Main duties:

R&D Project Management:
definition of work plan, resources control, results analysis, monitoring reports, etc.

To carry out high-quality scientific research in the modelling of energy and chemical systems and complex flow phenomena.

Integrate the model components indicated above into functional system-wide simulations of thermal and thermo-chemical systems.

Create appropriate use cases for thermal, chemical and recycling processes.

Find out appropriate parametrisations for the constructed simulations in line with the determined use cases.

Create dynamic simulation scenarios for the abovementioned services to test the control and optimization strategies and determine their performance.

Post-process numerical and experimental data, analyse and summarise the performance using suitable methods and key performance indicators.

Analyse the simulation results with respect to the various design parameters, iterate and optimise the control and optimisation strategies.

Job specific skills:

Eefficiency, chemical looping processes, hydrogen, biomassbased fuels and feedstocks.

Perform techno-economic analysis, exergoeconomic analysis, and life cycle assessment (LCA) of different processes (e.g., hydrogen production, chemical looping, and recycling routes).

Experience with Process Optimization Tools including Programming, Mapping, Simulation or algorithms.

Knowledge of the different R&D calls (National and European) mainly in Horizon Europe Program.

Understanding experimental/industrial results.

High-level proficiency in English.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

English:
Advanced level (C1).

Available to travel.

Driving Licence and own car.
