Fermentation Scientist (M/F/d)

Your role

  • You will be part of the fermentation team and assist with the project pipeline in lab and pilot facilities
  • You assist in probiotics yield and stability improvement program
  • You lead the execution of laboratory and pilot fermentation/DSP (e.g. centrifugation, filtration, freezedrying) plans and tasks
  • You assist with validation and development of new products and process improvement initiatives
  • You are responsible for overseeing and implementing weekly fermentation/DSP plans under the guidance of other technicians
  • You coordinate with microbiology/operations/PD&A teams in the execution of strain development projects
  • You write batch reports, documentation and reports to support analysis and decision making
  • You ensure safety standards are maintained in laboratories and pilot plants
  • You identify and implement improved technologies and capacities

Your profile

  • You have a successfully completed degree in Biotechnology, Biological/Biochemical Sciences/Engineering or equivalent
  • You have been able to gain professional experience in laboratory and pilot bioreactor operation
  • You have experience in project management
  • You have a deep understanding of microbial physiology, fermentation best practices and biotechnological unit operation
  • You can easily communicate in English (written and spoken), Spanish is a plus
  • You are a team player and have a proactive and problemsolving approach to work
