Role purpose:
Based in Madrid and reporting to the Market Facing Platform Manager.
This role requires someone flexible, adaptable that can take ownership of his tasks/work and focused on providing excellence in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
Strong technical and analytical skills, ability to think outside of the box and to communicate well at all levels of the business.
You'll conduct mainly manual tests to ensure the product created by developers is fit for purpose and passes the testing criteria and successes factors, as defined together with the business.
You will analyse and verify the best manual test approaches, ensuring that 'technical debt' is avoided, whilst estimating tests in terms of functionality, performance and coverage.
Responsabilities:
- Accountable for Functional and System Integration Testing against previously defined and signedoff business requirements, functional specifications or user stories
- Accountable for the elaboration of test scenarios, test scripts and testing evidence to ensure those meet appropriate levels of control for quality, risk and audit purposes
- Investigate complex issues identified and if appropriate raise as defects in JIRA
- Work with developers, BA's and business SMEs etc. to isolate, replicate, and report defects; verify defect fixes and ensure timely resolution to all defects
- Support Business Product owners to develop coherent comprehensive yet pragmatic test strategy
- Work proactively with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to provide input to continuous improvement across all aspects of testing
- Drafting and presenting the end of test report highlighting key issues found during testing once the testing phase is complete
- Actively contribute during sprint retrospectives
- Focus on delivering business value through sound testing methods and principles
- Contribute to drive forward testing standards and process
- Lead and participate in Test Working Groups, Integrated Test Teams, Trainings/Demonstrations and reviews
- Perform weekly project UAT reporting
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Working within your project team, create Test Plans which will identify the test strategy, objectives, work flows and acceptance criteria outcomes for any given project.
Work with the Development team to capture and/or re-use automated test cases for non-regression release checks.
Author Test Reports which will contain detailed and unambiguous results of testing, and present to project team for consideration.
Conduct Manual and Automated Regression, Non-Regression and Integration testing on Websites and API's.
Perform a wide range of software testing techniques, including Stress, performance and Functional testing.
Support the business in completing UAT and undertake such test when required
Professional Experience:
Business level of English is a must
Good level of Spanish, Italian or French is desirable
Definition of positive, negative and boundary test cases for functional, non-functional and regression testing purposes
Team player with a high level of initiative and drive
Test definition and execution
Can traverse System Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing understanding the different requirements of each discipline
Expertise in capturing and analyzing data and documenting test plans and tracking deliverables
Experience with Postman for API testing would be a plus
A passion for taking ideas from inception through to enthusing users with confidence in the delivery
