Your Role & Responsibilities

  • The Electronics Components Technician takes responsibility of managing the global Mahle Electronics components database. It registers electronics components on the database and performs the maintenance, updates and monitoring of the global components database giving support to the Segments and Departments inside of the Mahle Electronics group.
  • It is also responsible for creating the schematic symbols and PCB Footprints with Altium Designer considering the customer specifications, IPC standards and Manufacturer Datasheets; all this in accordance with the Mahle Electronics internal design and best practices rules for prototyping and mass production.
  • Development of electronic components for the component library, including link to PDM and ERP.
  • Registration, creation and verification of: Footprints, Symbols, 3D models, Features, Library management and PCB's registration.
  • Documentation of datasheets characteristics.
  • Updating and maintenance of datasheets.
  • Revision of existing component sources.
  • Database cleaning.
  • Verification/compatibility of data, between different sources and "Existing" codes.
  • Support for searching new sources.
  • New sources compatibility.
  • DRA's verification and database update.
  • Analysis of component compatibility between projects.
  • Support of errors/discrepancies in Motilla/Valencia warehouse references.
  • Purchasing and Hardware Departments support.
  • Advice on fonts, new designs.
  • Monitoring for acceptance of article codes in production.
  • Registering new manufacturers to the Mahle Manufacturer Panel.

Your Skills & Strengths

  • Electronic Engineering degree or similar.
  • Professional Certificate in Electronics (Ciclo Grado Medio/Superior)
  • English (B2).
  • Spanish.
  • French, German will be valued.
  • Electronics SW (Altium or similar, Solidworks).
  • IPC knowledge.
  • Database (SAP).
  • PDM Link (PTC Windchill) experience is a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in Electronics and PCB design.
