At Werfen in Clinical Software Business Unit we are committed to developing secure, efficient, and innovative clinical applications and laboratory instrumentation systems. Our solutions enhance patient care and facilitate the management of information in hospitals and laboratories around the world.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer, to produce scalable software solutions. You will be part of a development team that is in charge of a software product that manages clinical information and provides therapeutic data to the doctors.

Under the supervision of the team leader, he/she participates in the development of the product following the methodologies used in the project and participates in the continuous improvement process.

Education: Engineer, Computer Science or another Technical degree.

Experience:

• At least 4 years of experience developing client-server applications using Java 1.6+ / JavaEE. In-depth knowledge of EJB, JMS and JMX would be valuable.
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer) and different application servers (Wildfly, JBoss, WebSphere).
• Experience with IDE's such as IntelliJ Idea.
• Knowledge of and experience with the Gradle compilation/packaging system
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of and experience with source/version control systems (i.e. Git).
