Hyperion Materials & Technologies is looking for a
Sales Manager Precision Solutions*The Sales Manager has an operational role in supporting the regional sales force focusing on sales development and day to day sales activities.
The location of this position will be in one of Hyperion's sites in Europe.
Job Summary*The Sales Manager will have direct responsibility of a Regional Sales team and will be responsible for developing the sales of individual accounts in the Region.
Other responsibilities for the position will include:
- Responsible for the overall sales development of the accounts in the region, by supporting the local sales team, with the definition and implementation of individual sales plan.
- Manage assigned key accounts and act as a partner for business development activities within the region.
- Join the local sales representatives during customer visits, as a way to support the business opportunities and to develop the sales force.
- Provide support in contract negotiation and price strategy implementation, promoting a valueadded approach.
- Be available for the customers as an escalation point during interactions.
- Provide sales forecast and budget for the Region.
- Daily use of CRM tools to help drive growth, being directly responsible for the sales funnel opportunity management.
- Establish relevant metrics to evaluate the sales individual performance of the team and the global one of the Region. Implement specific plans to close the gap when needed.
- Work closely with the Segment and Sales Manager, to align the tactical plan with the longterm strategic plan.
- Establish relationships across different functions within Precision Solutions, influence business decisions by providing relevant information on sales and profitability development.
- Coach and manage the local sales team, ensuring competence development and performance management.
- Maintain close and regular contact with customers, and distributors.
- Strong business acumen, highly customer oriented, strong sense of urgency. Able to take decision in ambiguity.
- Clear understanding of business drivers and how they impact the financial performance of the business.
- Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of valueadded selling techniques.
- Demonstrated track record driving sales revenue, profitability growth and value creation.
- Strong executive presence, excellent verbal, and written communication skills. Experience in working across the organization and leading teams to drive results.
- Understanding hard and super hard materials along with knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques related to precision machining and finishing of such materials is desired.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Advanced degree in Science/Engineering from an accredited institution. It is desirable to have a management degree or experience of at least 35 years in a management position.
- Besides the mother tongue, fluent in English both orally and written.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
