PROCUREMENT MANAGER IBERIA

The Job You Will Perform:


  • You will be a part of Iberian Sourcing and Procurement Team managing portfolio of suppliers, with an estimated annual spend of €180MM
  • You will lead projects end to end in Iberia and represent your region in global projects, involving variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Have the ownership for building up Regional (EMEA) Purchasing strategy
  • Ensure savings within your category by spending at targeted or below the budget
  • Lead local Procurement team at IP facilities in order to achieve business targets and results.
  • Manage and mentor your team encouraging professional growth and development
  • Oversee staffing, recruiting, training, coaching of direct reports, including performance reviews
  • Manage relationship with suppliers and stakeholders globally.
  • Foster team work culture environment between Purchasing, Global Sourcing and other departments
  • You will be expected to make timely decisions and lead your team through ambiguous situations
  • Manage and optimize supplier base across all mill location to provide best, longterm value
  • Draft, finalize and timely implement contracts with suppliers
  • Monitor contracts' performance and compliance, ensuring excellent supplier performance in accordance with negotiated terms
  • Utilize project management skills to lead projects (sourcing events) end to end in Iberia
  • Represent your region in global projects involving variety of internal and external stakeholders in order to implement optimal suppliers portfolio, generate savings and process improvements, challenge status quo and introduce innovative solutions
  • Analyze spend data, underlying market drivers to build up longterm sourcing strategy
  • Incorporate environmental sustainability in every sourcing process
  • Work with highly skilled professionals and lead negotiations for wide range of categories;
  • You will influence strategic business decisions by recommending most optimal suppliers
  • Drive TCO (total cost of ownership / life cycle cost) reduction initiatives by engaging key suppliers in suggesting improvements in the operations, processes or procedures with the goal of reducing total cost without emphasis solely on reducing the initial purchase price of the commodity/service

The Skills You Will Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree in procurement
  • Minimum of 5 yearsexperience in a similar position, within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Local language and English Proficiency.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • SAP systems
  • Travel requirement 40%
