We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team at a prestigious luxury Irish castle hotel restaurant.
As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the kitchen, leading a specific section and collaborating with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise in a stunning and historic setting.Responsibilities:
- Oversee the assigned section of the kitchen, ensuring the timely and precise preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes.
- Execute recipes and menu items with consistent quality, taste, and presentation, upholding the highest culinary standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior members of the kitchen team, ensuring their adherence to recipes, techniques, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain inventory levels for the assigned section, monitoring stock, minimizing waste, and ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized section while following proper sanitation practices.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the culinary and frontofhouse teams to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences.
- Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and innovations, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and improvement.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in any additional tasks or responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Indepth knowledge of modern European cuisine, with a strong understanding of Irish culinary traditions and the use of local ingredients.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong technical culinary skills, with a focus on precision, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- Passion for delivering exceptional food and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
